POLICE are asking for help to trace a wanted man believed to be in Burnley.
Duncan Phillip McDowell, 35, is wanted on prison recall following an original offence of dangerous driving.
McDowell, who is originally from Manchester, was imprisoned for 15 months for dangerous driving as part of his sentence given at Manchester Crown Court, in November 2007.
He has strong connections to the Burnley area and has previously lived there.
Inspector John Clucas of Lancashire Constabulary said that some prisoners could be released early on special conditions, but if they failed to comply with them, could be recalled back to prison.
He said: "As a force, we arrest many people who have warrants issued against them by the force but there are always a few who do not want to be caught.
"I would appeal to McDowell to give himself up and hand himself in to his local police station.
"I would also ask the public to report any sightings of McDowell to the police or to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
