A 42-YEAR-old man has been found dead in a car valeting compound.

Police are investigating whether the man, who is believed to be from Newton Street, Blackburn, fell off a 10ft high factory roof.

An emergency 999 call was made to the ambulance service from a mobile telephone around 10.25pm last night.

Paramedics arrived at the car valeting compound, in Newton Street, minutes later and found the man who had died at the scene.

The ambulance service informed the police who arrived shortly after.

Officers are not treating his death as suspicious.

Inspector Nick Williams-Jones said: "A man was found near to an industrial warehouse.

"We are looking into the circumstances but we are not treating his death as suspicious."
