A Blackburn man caught with child porn on his computer has been placed on the sex offenders register for seven years and given a suspended jail sentence.
Preston Crown Court heard that 46-year-old Paul Nuttall had previously been cautioned by police over having indecent photographs of a child on a computer.
Nuttall, of Denville Road, admitted ten charges of possessing indecent images of a child, and got a 17 week prison sentence suspended for two years with two years supervision.
He was also banned from contact with under 16s and will only be allowed a computer if police can check it out.
Mr Mark Lamberty, prosecuting, told the court the caution was imposed on February 9 2007.
Later examination of his computer revealed 128 indecent images and one video clip. When interviewed Nuttall said he thought they were over 18 and in some instances that was accepted.
Of 24,000 images found 128 were found to be illegal.
Mr Richard Haworth, defending, said Nuttall had pleaded guilty at the first opportunity and he had been frank with police.
