A number of fake £20 notes have been seized by police.
The notes, which all carry the same serial number BL20 610057 were seized from an address in Waterfoot, Rossendale.
The notes are now going to be sent to the National Crime Agency and then the Bank of England for further examination.
A police spokesperson said: "Up close it's easy to tell these are fake but if people aren't paying attention it may be too late before they realise.
"The notes will be sent off to the National Crime Agency and then to the Bank Of England for further examination as this helps in the design of future notes to help prevent fraud.
"Please check all notes when you are given them and be wary of people buying very low cost items and only having a £20 to maximise the amount of change they get."
