Ever looked at the greeting cards in the shops and thought 'I can do better!'?

Well this Friday you have the chance to do just so, by attending a painting class with tutor Terry O'Toole, an artist who has had 25 years experience in both professional and amateur settings.

Terry's classes take place at Portfolio, on Simmons Street, just off Sudell Cross close to the centre of Blackburn.

Using a simple step-by-step approach, Terry shows in these classes how people with little or no previous experience of painting can get effective results using the simplest of means.

The classes cover a range of subjects, for example this week it will be greeting cards, next will be Sunnyhurst Woods.

Each week covers a different topic and focuses on a different paiting medium, whether it be charcoal, acrylic, watercolours etc etc.

Class times are from 10am until 3pm, with lunch between 12noon and 1pm.

Each day's class costs £25, but discounts are made for booking in advance.
