A PROLIFIC shoplifter has been made the subject of a criminal behaviour order.
Michael Andrew Crilly, 36, of Abbey Street, Accrington, was given the two-year order after regularly stealing from shops in Accrington town centre He must not enter Boots, Farmfoods, Fulton Foods, Wilkinsons, Poundland or the Spar in Burnley Road, Accrington.
A police spokesperson said: “He has plagued many small businesses within Accrington town centre with his persistent offending, he has over a substantial period of time indiscriminately and without remorse targeted stores within this small community, ripping the life blood and soul from the town centre businesses who supply an essential invaluable service to the local community.”
