Twenty six people in East Lancashire have been given a thousand things to celebrate this week as they each scooped a cash prize on the postcode lottery.
Twenty lucky neighbours in Padiham, and six in Briercliffe were laughing all the way to the bank on Monday after winning £1,000 each thanks to their lucky postcode.
In what must be the best start to a week ever, residents in Kings Drive, Padiham and neighbours in Queen Street, Briercliffe, netted the cash when BB12 7DF and BB10 2HE were announced as Daily Prize winners with People’s Postcode Lottery on Monday.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt sent her well-wishes to the winners, saying: “What a lovely way to start the week.
"Congratulations to our winners, I’m sure this news has made their day.”
A minimum of 32 percent of ticket sales from the People's Postcode Lottery goes directly to charities, and players have raised more than £600 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.
