A WELL established bathroom business has been bought out by a DIY and builders' merchants.
Boundary Bathrooms, a family business, based in Regent Street, Colne, has been acquired by Grafton Group UK for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 1946 Boundary designs and installs bespoke bathrooms, showers and saunas.
Neil and Andrew Dent, who took over the running of the Boundary from their father Allan, will continue to be involved in the business following the takeover.
Neil Dent said: "This is great deal for Boundary and gives us enormous opportunities to grow as part of a much larger business in the building and DIY sector, and it's a very exciting new era for our family firm."
In recent years, Bound-ary Bathrooms has grown rapidly through the internet and sells most of its products online.
Dublin-based Grafton Group has expanded after embarking on an acquisitions programme.
In the UK the company is the fourth largest builders' merchants with 384 locations trading under the Plumbase, Buildbase and Jackson banners.
Last year it had a turnover of more than 2.9billion Euros.
In the first six months of the year Grafton recorded sales of more than 1.6billion euros with profits in excess of 124million euros.
