A 58-YEAR-OLD local government worker failed to notice a police car following her on the A59 with his blue lights flashing and sirens sounding, a court was told.
Magistrates said that when the officer eventually spoke to Margaret Shaw, who works in Preston, after she had pulled up on her drive he thought she was drunk.
And a subsequent blood sample gave a reading of nearly two and a half times the legal limit.
Shaw, of Rogersfield, Langho, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol and was banned from driving for two years and ordered to pay £825 in fines and costs.
