BLACKBURN police have assisted with getting two people down from bridges this afternoon, they have said.
In a post on their Twitter, officers from Blackburn with Darwen police are urging people to remember there is always someone to talk to and always another choice that can be made.
The message, with a link to the Samaritans hotline, comes after officers took two individuals to hospital after helping them down from bridges.
A spokesperson for Blackburn with Darwen police said: "We have removed two people from bridges in Blackburn this afternoon who felt they couldn't cope and have taken them to hospital for professional help.
"Whatever time day or night, there is always someone to talk to, always another choice you can make."
They then posted a link to the Samaritans webpage, which can be accessed by clicking here.
