A MOTORCYCLIST has been seriously injured after crashing with a car.
Emergency services were called to a vehicle crash involving a Suzuki motorcycle and a Skoda Octavia on Widow Hill Road, Burnley shortly before 8am today.
Witnesses said the biker had crashed into the side of the car, which had pulled out from Boohoo offices.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 25-year-old man from Burnley, was taken to Royal Preston Hospital by air ambulance after suffering suspected fractures to his pelvis. He also suffered injuires to his left arm, wrist and foot.
The Skoda Octavia driver was not taken to hospital.
A police spokesman said: "We were called to reports of a collision between a motorbike and a car on Widow Hill Road, Burnley at around 8am.
"The motorbike rider was admitted to hospital."
An ambulance spokesman said: "We were called to reports of a motorbike and a car collision. We sent one rapid response vehicle, an ambulance and air ambulance.
"One patient, a man in his 20s, was taken to Royal Preston Hospital by air ambulance."
