THE Liberal Democrats won both seats in a by-election for Colne Town Council.
Alice Mann and Jamie Hargreaves were elected on Thursday, both with more than 350 voters, keeping one post and taking another from Labour.
The turnout was 21.49 per cent.
Colne Town Council now has ten Conservative members and seven Liberal Democrats.
The by-elections were caused by the automatic disqualification of Labour’s Ian Graham for not attending a meeting for six months due to ill-health and the resignation of Liberal Democrat Borough Councillor Graham Roach from the Town Council.
