A Station Road resident said they saw the emergency vehicles at the scene.

She said: “I was driving back from a wedding and we could see the ambulance and the police cars.

“My grandson tried to cover my eyes as well as his own.

“I have lived here for two years and never seen anything like this before.

“My thoughts are with the family, they must be going through a really tough time.”

Police said the motorbike was travelling in convoy with a second Yamaha bike.

The road was closed for more than four hours while accident investigators attended the scene.
