The McDonald's restaurant at the Rising Bridge roundabout
A 20-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary after a man tried to force his way into a McDonald's drive thru.
A police spokesman said a man wearing a balaclava tried to force his way through the restaurant near the Rising Bridge roundabout with a crowbar, while wearing a balaclava.
The spokesman said: "He was disturbed by staff and made off.
"Officers then sighted a vehicle described as being involved nearby and a pursuit ensued. The vehicle was abandoned on Rock Street, Baxenden,
"A 20-year-old man from Accrington has been arrested on suspicion of burglary offences, theft of a motor vehicle and failing to stop. He is currently in police custody."
