PLANS to build more than 60 homes at the edge of a town are set to be approved despite objections from residents.
Officers at Pendle Council have recommended approval on a proposal to put up 63 homes on a field north of Meadow Way, near Skipton Road, Barnoldswick.
A spokesman said: "The proposed development would be acceptable in terms of housing development on this site and would not adversely impact on amenity, ecology, the listed buildings or open countryside."
The recommendation has come despite 30 objections made by residents.
The objections raised centre around the current infrastructure would be unable to cope with potentially an extra 200 residents.
A decision will be made in Nelson Town Hall on Tuesday from 7pm.
