A HIGH school has been shortlisted for a prestigious award in the category of Most Sustainable School.
St Christopher's CE High School in Accrington has been shortlisted in the 2018 TES Schools Awards for their ongoing work in making the school a sustainable resource.
A spokesman for the school said: "Sustainability is a vital part of day-to-day life at St Christopher's, with an enthusiastic Eco Group leading the charge on any number of innovative initiatives."
TES editor Ann Mroz said: "It is wonderful to see such innovative ideas and best-practice emerging from our schools and teachers, despite the current squeeze on funding."
Those shortlisted for an award will attend a Gala at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on June 22 where all the winners from across the different categories will be revealed.
