A MAN who breached a non-molestation order for the second time was told the sentences would get more severe if the offences continued.
Blackburn magistrates heard Raymond Carpenter had gone to his ex-wife's home late and night and under the influence of drink.
Carpenter, 37, of Grange Street, Burnley, pleaded guilty to breach of a non-molestation order. He was sentenced to four weeks in prison suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and £115 victim surcharge.
Alex Mann, prosecuting, said the order had been made in January and this was the second breach.
"The order isn't providing the protection it is meant to because he is ignoring it," said Mrs Mann.
Keith Rennison, defending, said his client accepted what was said because he had poor recollection because he had been drinking.
"It was a brief exchange and no threats were made," said Mr Rennison.
