Blackburn Magistrates Court where the hearing took place
A MAN has appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged as a result of a single punch assault which left a man in hospital with a bleed on the brain and a fractured jaw.
Blackburn magistrates heard the victim had been taken to Preston Hospital following the incident last Thursday in Devonport Road.
But the court was told he had discharged himself from hospital against medical advice.
Hassan Ali Khan, 19, of Lynwood Road, Blackburn, pleaded not guilty to wounding Mohammed Ishmail.
He was sent in custody to Preston Crown Court where he will appear on May 21.
