A MOTORIST had to be cut free from her car by firefighters this morning after it was involved in a crash with another vehicle.
The accident happened in Roman Road, Hoddlesden, at around 10.20am when a black Renault Clio and a silver Ford Escort hit each other.
Fire crews, police and paramedics were called to the accident which happened on a bend between the Punch Bowl Inn and Water Lily Inn.
An elderly couple in the Escort travelling towards Darwen were not injured.
The woman driver of the Blackburn-bound Clio had to be cut free after complaining of neck and back injuries.
She was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital.
