SOME sweets are being recalled after fears for shoppers with an allergy to nuts.
Confectionery World is recalling Turkish Delight, Rose and Lemon Flavours because it contains nuts which is not mentioned on the product label.
A statement has been put on the Food Standards Agency over the 200g product with a best before date of October 25.
It read: " If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to nuts, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
"Confectionery World is recalling the above product from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.
"The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers.
"No other Confectionery World products are affected.
"We are requesting an urgent recall on the above pictured product with the relevant batch number and best before dates, due to the nut contamination.
"Kindly return them to your original place of purchase or have them posted to: Confectionery World Ltd, Unit 33 Forest Business Park, Argall Avenue, Leyton, London, E10 7FB."
