A FOOD company is recalling their sausages as they pose a health risk.
Country Style Pork Sausages and Sage and Caramelised Red Onion Pork Sausages (400g packs - and up to March 23) are sold in Asda stores and shoppers are urged to return them as they may contain undeclared sulphur dioxide which is not mentioned on the label.
A statement on the Food Standards Agency read: "The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers in Asda stores where the products have been sold.
"These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products. This means the products are a possible health risk for anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites."
