FILM star Samina Awan dropped into Nelson to officially reopen the fire-gutted SafeSpace project for young homeless people.
Alongside deputy mayor of Pendle, Coun Shelagh Derwent (far left), the 22-year-old actress from Eccles, Manchester (second from right), cut the ribbon to declare the Carr Road hostel open after arsonists set fire to it in April.
A refurbishment, including carpet and kitchen was carried out after fire damaged the hostel for 16 to 25-year-olds.
Samina starred in the British film Love and Hate.
Also pictured are SafeSpace manager Claire Bennett (centre), residents and former residents.
