JUNIOR schools across the county are being encouraged to enter the next 'Last Choir Singing' competition.
The competition, now in its fourth year, is open to all junior school children in East Lancashire from year three to year six.
The winning choir will receive £1,000 in vouchers towards music equipment for their school.
Each choir will compete in regional heats throughout March 2018, with the overall winners of the coveted title ‘Last Choir Singing 2018’ being announced at the Grand Final at King George’s Hall in Blackburn on Friday, June 15.
The deadline for entries is Friday, November 10, and organisers True Bearing Chartered Financial Planners are encouraging schools to get involved.
Chairman George Critchley said: "Last year’s competition was a huge success with around 2,000 children taking part.
We wanted to give something back to a community that has supported our firm since 2003."
"I encourage all Lancashire junior schools to take part.”
