A SCHOOL in Darwen has raised over £170 for a cancer charity.
A group from Ashleigh School in Darwen hosted a wacky hair day to raise money for Darwen committee of Cancer Research UK.
The day was organised by The Rotakids who attend the school, which is Rotary's way of involving younger children in the community.
The Rotakids organised the event and decided which charity would receive the donation. After the event the school presented a cheque for the cash raised to Linda Chatburn, chairman of the Darwen committee of Cancer Research UK.
