TWO wards at Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital have become the first across East Lancashire to introduce a 'revolutionary' new way of education and training student nurses.
Collaborative Learning in Practice (CLiP) aims to help student nurses gain greater and experience for patient care.
It will see up to 10 students working on each of the two CLiP wards, where they will undertake essential nursing care, documentation, ward rounds, handover and discharge planning.
First used in Amsterdam, (CLiP) is being introduced at the East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust in partnership with the University of Central Lancashire Faculty of Health and Wellbeing.
