A NEW monthly breakfast club is set to be launched in Rossendale.
The first session of the monthly Rossendale Veterans Breakfast Club will run on the second Saturday of every month
The club has been set up for both VIC members and veterans in the Rossendale community to get together over a heart breakfast.
The club will provide a breakfast of locally sourced egg, bacon, sausage, beans and tomatoes plus toast.
The organiser Bill Ogden, who has been an ex-veteran for 25 years, said: "We have a number of breakfast clubs in and around Greater Manchester but not in the Haslingden or Rossendale area despite the fact we have a large contingent of ex-forces in the area.
"Once you come out of the armed forces the thing you miss most is the social life and this is an opportunity to get like minded people back together to chat."
Tea or coffee will be available at the price of £3.50.
