A 23-year-old man suffered a stroke the day after he was discharged from hospital following a car crash.
Police are appealing for information after the crash in Belthorn at around 7.55pm on Friday night.
Four men were travelling in a Toyota Yaris when it crashed and overturned landing on a grass verge off the carriageway at the junction with Broadhead Road and Long Hey Lane.
The driver and front seat passenger were not injured and both rear passengers were taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital for further treatment.
Both were discharged on Friday, however, the 23-year-old, was re-admitted to Royal Blackburn Hospital on Saturday having suffered a stroke.
He is currently in a serious condition.
Sgt Tracey Ward, of Lancashire Police’s Roads Policing Unit, said: “These are very sad and unfortunate circumstances and my thoughts are with this man and his family at this time.
“We are appealing for information and are keen to speak to anyone who saw the vehicle before the incident, or saw what happened, to contact police.”
