A 33-YEAR-OLD man has appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with stabbing another man twice with a screwdriver.
The court heard Junaid Iqbal challenged William Alison Connelly when he caught him damaging his car and was stabbed twice.
Connelly, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm and criminal damage.
He was sent in custody to Burnley Crown Court to be sentenced on August 18.
Graeme Parkinson, defending, said the injuries suffered by Mr Iqbal were not serious but conceded the magistrates powers of punishment were not sufficient for the offence.
