DARWEN’S Library Theatre is searching for volunteers willing to help out in a variety of roles.
Staff at the theatre say they would welcome expressions of interest from anyone who feels they could be of assistance in any way.
A spokesman for the theatre in Knott Street said: “Have you ever wanted to gain more experience in theatre or music venues?
“Ever wondered how the bar runs? Or just plain nosy? We want volunteers to help out here at Darwen Library Theatre in a variety of roles.
“You could be working at a film showing one week and a comedy the next.
“If you feel you have something to offer then please drop us a line explaining why to dlt@blackburn.gov.uk.”
The theatre is also offering youngsters the chance to get involved in drama.
Darwen Youth Theatre, which is run by Action Factory, has spaces for children and young people who would like to take part in regular drama sessions.
These take place on Monday evenings and are open to those aged between five and 18.
Recent projects have included performances based on Roald Dahl’s stories of Big Friendly Giant and Matilda for the younger groups.
If you feel you have something to offer, or just want more information, email dlt@blackburn.gov.uk.
