TWO women had to be taken to hospital after suffering injuries in a head-on crash in Blackburn.
The incident involving two cars happened at around 5pm in Higher Audley Street.
Fire crews, police and ambulance paramedics attended the scene.
A fire service spokesman said: "Two cars had collided head-on.
"No-one was trapped in either vehicle.
"Firefighters assisted ambulance paramedics in carrying on stretchers the two women injured in the crash to the ambulance.
"The injuries are not thought to be life threatening."
