A MAN has been warned to prepare himself for a possible prison sentence after he admitted to drug dealing.

Burnley Crown Crown Court heard how Schelim Jalil, 21, of March Street, Burnley, was found in possession of 8.6 grammes of cocaine with intent to supply on January 31. That offence took place in Burnley.

The court heard that between December 11 and 31 January Jalil was found to be concerned in the supply of cocaine and between December 2 and February 1 he was found to be concerned in the supply of cannabis.

Jalil pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine with intent to supply, being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug and being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug.

The case was adjourned for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.

Defending, Mark Stuart said: “This is a very sad case. He’s 21-years-of-age, He got involved in this to support his family financially.”

Judge Beverley Lunt said: “You must come back to this court to be sentenced on July 21. I will grant you bail.

“You must understand the fact that I am granting you bail and ordering a pre-sentence report doesn’t mean you will not be going to prison.”
