A FAMILY fundraiser to help a brave youngster battling cancer fly to America for life-saving treatment will take place in Oswaldtwistle tomorrow.
Four-year-old Charlie Procter from Church suffers from a rare form of liver cancer and his family is looking to raise more than £315,000 to send him to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for specialist care.
Friends of Amber Schofield, Charlie’s mother, have been inspired to hold the event to help out the family.
The family fun day will take place at the Stanhill Pub from 11.30am until 5pm.
Lauren Prestage, one of of the organisers, said: “We just all wanted to come together to try and raise a lot of money for the brave boy.
“It must be so hard for them, it’s terrible what they’re going through.”
The event will include a BBQ, stalls, a bouncy castle, face painting and children’s entertainment.
