A HISTORIC painting will be back on the walls of a community centre next week following its renovation.
Cllr Jean Rigby, borough council representative for North Turton with Tockholes, secured a £6,000 grant for the severely-damaged George and Dragon painting from The Barlow in Edgworth to be restored.
The painting is more than a century old and used to sit above the fireplace in the reading room, but over time it has lost its colour and has holes in it.
The reading room is now a cafe and the painting will go up in there where it originally sat.
Staff at the Lancashire Conservation Studios in Preston have been working on it for nine months.
It will be revealed on Wednesday, May 10, at 6pm.
