THE Fence May Ball is returning to help raise funds to repair a church hall.
The black tie evening will include a three-course dinner and entertainment by The Jerseys, one of the UK’s top Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons tribute bands, and DJ Bo.
A raffle will also be held at the event at the Fence Gate on Saturday, May 20.
The ball has previous been organised by Fence United but this year a fundraising team for St Anne’s Church Hall have taken over the reins.
Duncan McFadyen, a spokesman for the fundraising group, said: “It’s a great way to get the local communities together and raise much-needed funds.”
The fundraising group needs to raise £40,000 for vital repairs, or the building and the adjoining old schoolmaster’s house will be sold.
So far, more that £26,000 has been raised. Tickets cost £35 each. For more information, contact Andrew Chamberlain on 070951 936735.
