FIREFIGHTERS attended a house fire in Rishton after a pizza box was inadvertently left in the oven.
Two crews from Hyndburn fire station attended the scene in George Street just after 7pm yesterday.
They were alerted to the fire after the resident called 999 after seeing the smoke.
The fire service said they cleared the house of smoke and nobody was hurt.
A spokesman for the service said: "A pizza box left inadvertently in an oven set alight and the kitchen of the house filled with smoke.
"The occupants got out without injury."
