James Saunders, managing director of Simon Jersey, said: “There are many complex issues to consider ahead of the referendum.

“We believe that it’s our responsibility to present both sides of the debate to our employees so that they can make an informed decision.

“We’re also keen for Boris to see how we’re working with Team GB.

“He was a key figure during the last Olympic Games, and we want to show him how we’ve created a suit that we hope will inspire the athletes to build on the success of London 2012.”

During the visit, Mr Johnson said he rejected the idea he is making a pitch for a potential post-Brexit government.

He said: “All we are saying is what any government could do and we are saying after we vote leave on June 23, it will be up to the government to take back control.
