A PADIHAM man has avoided an immediate prison sentence despite admitting child internet pornography offences.

Clive Larkin, 65, of Malvern Avenue, admitted possessing 45 indecent images and three charges of making indecent photographs between August 14, 2013 and April 30, 2015.

He was given a six-month prison sentence, suspended for two years, when he appeared before a judge at Burnley Crown Court.

Larkin was also made subject of a two-year supervision order, a sexual harm prevention order for seven years and made subject of the Sex Offenders Register for seven years.

He must also pay prosecution costs of £340, an £80 victim surcharge and forfeit his computer.
