The two-storey pub has been closed for a number of years and the building was previously on the market.
The building replaced the Ye Olde White Bull, which was demolished in the late 1950s. The new pub opened in 1960 and retained the Ye Olde White Bull until 1979 when it was renamed as the Brewers Arms. It became Pitchers in 1998.
