A MAN was punched in the face by attackers who broke in to his Blackburn home.
Police are trying to establish the motive for why the men went in to the house in Higher Audley Street and are investigating whether it was a failed burglary attempt or a case of mistaken identity.

After entering the house at around 7.30pm last Thursday the gang of four walked in to the living room where the 30-year-old victim was sitting, threatened him and told him to get on to the floor. The man stood up and ushered the men back out of the door.
As they were leaving one of the men punched the victim in the face. He was not seriously injured.
