Assault case

DOMINIC Greenwood, 23, of Whalley Road, Clayton-le-Moors, was fined £40 and ordered to pay £85 in prosecution costs, a £20 victim surcharge and a £150 criminal courts charge by Blackburn magistrates after he admitted assaulting Beverley Jane Greenwood on October 12.

 

Verbal threat

BRYAN Martin Wilde, 44, of Commercial Street, Oswaldtwistle, was ordered to pay £50 compensation and a £150 criminal courts charge by Blackburn magistrates after he admitted to using threatening words or behaviour during an incident on August 20. A separate charge of assaulting Donna Lonsdale was withdrawn by prosecutors.

 

Drug drive charge

ROSS Michael Kershaw, 27, of Bankside Lane, Bacup, was sent for crown court trial by Pennine magistrates, accused of driving while unfit through drugs in a Renault Clio on Rochdale Road on August 19, and possession of cannabis. He was bailed until November 30 for a plea hearing at Burnley.

 

Curfew order

SIMON Barras, 42, of Brush Street, Burnley, was given a six-week curfew by Pennine magistrates and ordered to pay £85 court costs, a £60 victim surcharge and a criminal courts charge of £150 after he admitted to stealing a bag worth £84 from Sports Direct on September 27, and breaching a conditional discharge.

 

Man admits theft

CRAIG Joseph Thomas, 41, of Randall Street, Burnley, was conditionally discharged for 18 months  and ordered to pay a criminal courts charge of £150 and a £15 victim surcharge after he admitted to stealing perfume worth £52 from Boots and breach of a conditional discharge.
 

Drugs charge

IAN Graham Carter, 20, of Avindale Road, Darwen, was given a conditional discharge for 12 months when he appeared before Blackburn magistrates and pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis and ketamine.
He was also ordered to pay a £180 criminal court charge, £85 costs as well as a £15 victim surcharge.
