THE ultimate family pantomime will be returning to King George’s Hall, Blackburn, this Christmas.

Having broken all box office records at the venue with Snow White last year, Stageworks World Wide Productions will be putting on Aladdin as this year’s seasonal show.

MORE TOP STORIES:

Liberty X star Kevin Simm will be back in Blackburn to play Aladdin and Storm-Skylar McClure will be making her debut in East Lancashire as Princess Jasmine.

Kevin said: “This will be the fourth pantomime I will have done at King George’s Hall and I can’t wait.

“It’s going to be great. The costumes are always fantastic, there will be some great songs, spectacular dance routines and something for all the family.

“It just wouldn’t be Christmas without the King George’s Hall panto and we hope just as many youngsters and their mums and dads come along and share in the fun with us.”

As well as Kevin there will also be some more familiar faces in the cast.

Widow Twanky will be played by Brian Reid, who will be making his sixth visit to East Lancashire.

“I’ve been an ugly sister and last year I was a naughty fairy but to play Widow Twanky is just great. We’re going to have such fun.”

Although very much a traditional show, Aladdin will have a special twist. The arch baddie will be played by Nicola Broadley, who was a spectacularly evil queen in Snow White.

“I’m Abi Nazar, Abanazer’s evil sister and I’m going to have a great time being bad.”

Aladdin runs from Wednesday, December 9, to Thursday, December 31. The first family performances will be on Saturday, December 12. For details contact the box office on 0844 847 1664 or visit www.kinggeorgeshall.com
