Zombies can take to the ice on Friday 30th October at Blackburn Ice Arena's spooktastic disco. The session starts at 8pm and will go on until 11pm. There'll be a prize for the best outfit and a nerve-wracking DJ will be playing some most horrifying music.

2. Dig It - Halloween Special at Blakey's Cafe Bar, King Georges Hall

King George's Hall is set to stage a night of terrifying live music for the under 20's featuring local established and new bands on Thursday 29th October 2015. Doors open at 6.30pm.

3. Thwaites Empire theatre Half-term Hallowe'en fun

‘Adventure in the Arts’ taster days at the Thwaites Empire Theatre will get your little horrors in the mood for this frightful festival. The programme begins on Tuesday, 27th and Wednesday, 28th October with spooky stories in the build up to Halloween, a special effects studio, stage fighting and stunt work.

4. Not So Scary Halloween Experience 

Forget really scary Halloween and join The Wellbeing Farm for hours of family friendly fun.

During this Halloween experience, children will get the chance to carve a pumpkin, make a crafty Halloween item, take part in apple bobbing, cup cake decorating and other fun Halloween activities as well as meet the llamas.

5. Spooky fun at WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre

With October half term creeping up on us we have loads of spooky activities going on at WWT Martin Mere for the whole family to enjoy. The fun starts from Saturday 24 October to Sunday 1 November.

  • Explore the grounds to find our hidden pumpkins for a chocolate treat (50p pumpkin hunt)
