A NEW community resource for the Kashmiri community looks set to be approved by councillors.
An application to build a mezzanine floor for office space at Hussain Buildings, Lonsdale Street, Nelson, has been recommended for approval in a report by council planning officers.
The Kashmiri Welfare Group's present premises, in Forest Street, are now too small for group meetings in the evening.
In a report to Pendle Council's Nelson Committee, planning officer Stan Healey said the impact of the change on neighbouring homes and businesses would be minimal.
The Nelson Committee will make the final decision at its meeting on Wednesday, at 7pm, at Nelson Town Hall, Market Square.
