A SUPPORT worker at a Darwen housing scheme was racially abused and threatened by a teenager who had already been banned from the complex.
Blackburn magistrates heard that Nathan David Caley was on bail for that offence when he again confronted the worker as he escorted a female resident back to the Birch Hall Apartments.
Caley, 18, of Moss Fold Road, Darwen, admitted racially aggravated threatening behaviour and witness intimidation. He was bailed for sentencing.
Caley had been banned from the apartments, which are set aside for disadvantaged people, because of a previous incident when he abused a member of staff.
On this occasion he was seen on CCTV climbing in through a window and staff went to ask him to leave.
He became racially abusive towards the support worker and challenged him to a fight. Four weeks later Caley approached and made further threats.
