A man who was badly injured in a fatal car accident is slowly improving.
Christian Gillibrand, 20, of Ramsgreave Road, Blackburn, remains stable at Royal Blackburn Hospital after suffering internal injuries in a crash involving a Honda Civic Type R in Mellor Lane, Mellor, on April 21.
The horror smash claimed the life of Ashley Connell, 23, Kowsley Road, Wilpshire, and injured four others, when the car ploughed in to a parked vehicle near the Spread Eagle pub.
Another of the survivors, Sam Litherland, 21, of Longsight Road, Copster Green, sustained neck, back, lung and facial injuries in the crash but was released from Royal Preston Hospital earlier this week.
Ashley Fielding, 25, of Whalley Banks, Whalley, suffered a broken shoulder and pelvis but was released last Friday from the Royal Preston Hospital.
Julian Hollings, 23, of Ribchester Road, Blackburn, sustained head injuries and was released from Royal Blackburn Hospital on Tuesday.
