A man who burgled five houses in Darwen in the space of an hour has been given an 18-month community order.
Jason Talbot will be on a three months long night time curfew - from 9pm to 7am - while he lives at a flat on Woodvale, Darwen.
Preston Crown Court had heard that he was apprehended soon after he carried out his last raid.
A police officer happened to be in that area, near Greenway Street.
He went on to tell police he could hardly remember anything.
The 24-year-old defendant had pleaded guilty to two offences of burglary.
Three other offences of burglary with intent to steal were taken into consideration, all dating back to an evening last September.
