PUPILS at Westholme Middle School achieved feats of strength they didn't think possible when scientist Philip Rose visited.
Mr Rose, of SciTech, went to the Blackburn school to do a number of workshops, one of which saw a group of year 5 and 6 youngsters pulling Mr Rose's Land Rover across the playground using pulleys.
Jayne Shipley, acting headteacher, said: "Mr Rose did his first workshop about different forces and how they work. It culminated in showing how pupils could pull a Land Rover.
Meanwhile, Niamh O'Beirne (right) was among those who watched an experiment which produced a rain cloud in a tank.
