RESIDENTS have demanded that a council finish a cycle path before a child is injured on it.
Ron Crossman, 76, of Lower Wilworth, Pleckgate, Blackburn, said that because there were no bollards at the ends of a new cycleway across the playfield, off Pleckgate Road, that youngsters risked being run over.
The retired engineer said he had seen children come straight off the cyclepath and into the road.
Blackburn with Darwen Council said the cycleway, installed last month, had not yet been finished, and there are plans to install bollards, or fencing, adjacent to Pleckgate Road.
