MUSICIANS will play for 12 hours non stop to pay for their summer trip.
Blackburn with Darwen Big Band is having a 'playathon' at Norden High School, Stourton Street, Rishton, on Sunday, July 12.
Any money raised through donations will fund the excursion to the Aberdeen International Youth Festival for the fourth year in a row.
The band, which is led by jazz musician Paul J Rigby, was set up in 2001 to encourage players to develop their skills.
It has toured to France and Belgium playing a variety of styles, from Miles Davis and Glenn Miller to Bruno Mars and Amy Winehouse, Herbie Hancock to Henry Mancini.
The show is also being staged on Wednesday, July 15, at Hollins Grove Conservative Club, Darwen, at 8pm. Tickets available on the door cost £8 and £6.
