HODDLESDEN Conservative Club will host two giants of the sporting world in the coming months.

The Harwoods Lane venue will welcome former PDC world darts finalist Wayne 'Hawaii 501' Mardle on June 20.

Then, on September 11, six-time world snooker champion and television pundit Steve Davis will play an exhibition game.

A spokesman for the club said: "Darts fans are encouraged to don their Hawaiian shirts for what will be a colourful and fun packed night of darts entertainment.

"Our MC from 8pm on the night will, as usual, be Paul Booth.

"The legend Steve Davis will be playing nine local snooker players from the Blackburn with Darwen Snooker League. Paul Booth will again be on duty from 7.30pm to MC proceedings with his usual style and great humour."

Tickets are priced £10 each for the darts night and £15 each for the snooker night. They are selling quickly and are available from the bar.
